Church Trails are a new venture for the Church Recorders on the Isle of Man, and part of the work is also being carried out in the U.K.
In the summer of 2008 we have just compiled our first trail at the Royal Chapel of St. John’s has recently undergone trials by interested local children and our group.
The idea is to provide an informative illustrated questionnaire with answers suitable for children of 8-12 years old to consider common items found in churches as well as to point out individual features unique to specific buildings. However, it is hoped that any visitors to a church would find the information provided interesting and helpful.
So look out for the St. John’s Trail which should be available at the back of the Tynwald Church at St. John’s from October of 2008. Feedback is always useful, so if you have a comment please contact
